i just want to take a little bit of time to express my unrelenting gratitude for all that you do for me. i never knew it was possible to love a skincare product so very much... i remember the days of acneic, dull skin and shudder of the thought. i have spent thousands of dollars on skincare and it turned out that all i needed was you. you erase all of my makeup with ease... i'm giddy just thinking about how the sink is stained with makeup after you have done your job... glorious. an entire house of made up kardashian's wouldn't be a match for you. flakes and dry skin are nothing for my sensitive skin brush head. you do all of this without ever asking for anything in return, except for maybe when that terrifying beeping reminds me you need charging... gasp. a day without you is too much. as much as i want to keep you all to myself, i can't help but want to share you with the masses!!!

so, this is a special post for the top 6 stinkers of the evening... oooOOOOooooo, they were so bad.

yikes, piper perabo. holy lord. what on earth are you wearing!?!? it's like a giant, tan, sheer garbage bag... and whatever honey is injecting in her face is aging her big time... she's such a pretty girl and this look is killing me. piper, fire the stylist. awful.

so, this is jessica chastian. if you aren't familiar with her work you should be, she is going to be the next mega actress. she is brilliant and usually well dressed, but there is nothing good about this givenchy gown. it makes a very tiny person, look... dare i say... dumpy. the hair and neckline just scream 80's. no ma'am.

ahhhhh, buffy what the crap!?? smg is wearing marchesa and looks like cinderella on acid... and since when do we match our eyeshadow to our dress!? she is so cute and this just looks completely nutty...

what the bloody mother hell is going on here!?!? um, so zooey is absolutely the cutest person in existence, but this prada gown is disgusting. i can't find a single thing nice to say about this... i look forward to not looking at it anymore.

wowzas. so this is hottie that landed j.timberlake? color me confused. i don't get it... jessica biel is absolutely beautiful. flawless hair. flawless skin. as far as i can tell she is wearing a dress from bette white's alternates... it looks frumpy and if you look really hard it looks like she has a third boob. so much bad.

oh madge. first, i hope to look like madonna when i'm 78 years old... or whatever she is, but this reem acra gown is just crazy-town from the waist down. and come on, the giant cross and the gloves? surely madonna has people reminding her that it's not 1987 anymore... you'd think?

holy bananas, it's golden globes time people!!! it is on!!!!!! i am really pumped about this years awards even though i am grossly unprepared. i have only seen a handful of the movies and i am just running on fumes trying to prepare for this stupid move. hmph. but okay, okay. let's talk fashion because let's face who really gives a crap about the awards... yeah, no one. so here we go...

so to be honest, i didn't really fall in love with any one look, but my favorite by far was charlize theron in dior. she just looks fresh and and modern. she has such a rocking style sense and this just fits. the headband, the deep v, the high slit, i dig it all. some may say that it's a little beige, but i think it's fabulous.

ohmygoodness, shailene woodley looks absolutely unbelievable!!!! this marchesa is stunning. i adore the neckline and the barely there sheer top... holy crap i love this dress. so interesting. something seems slightly lopsided about her updo, but this chick is gonna be a superstar.

so, i'm not one hundred percent sure as to why nicole richie was at the golden globes, but i absolutely loved her whole look. her julien macdonald gown is pretty, sparkly, and vintage... i like it... that's about all i can say. she looks really pretty.

hello sexy mama. okay so you can totally dog me 'cause reese witherspoon's hair is crazy, but this zac posen gown is out-of-control... come on, her body looks bangin. i love the jewels, the nails, the makeup... the hair is sooooooooo bad.

how stunning is this woman!?!? i lalalalove natalie portman and this lanvin dress is beautiful. she just makes dressing up look easy. i love her hair, it reminds me of nearly bald portman... dude, you have to be really hot to rock the shaved head look. i think she is brilliant.

i'm not quite sure as to why i adore this so much... freida pinto is a stunning woman and something about this prada gown just works. i love the color on her skin tone and mixed with the gold jewels. the shape is so simple, it reminds me of my wedding dress. it's preeeettty. don't forget to keep reading for some gowns that weren't my favorites...

oh jessica, jessica, jessica. some needs to tell mrs. warren that the miss usa pageant is another night :/ it's lavender and sparkly... it's gucci and it somehow manages to look juvenile and old at the same time. not a fan.

so, i actually like this gown on my darling nicole kidman, but something isn't working... the gown is versace and it is absolutely stunning. i love the shape and it fits her perfectly. the jewels are simple and wonderful, but maybe if she weren't so insanely pale or the dress wasn't so white... not sure. any thoughts!?!?

such a pretty girl. evan rachel wood definitely lives in her own world, while something about the color on this gucci gown does not sit well with me, it fits her beautifully and she looks gorgeous. so i guess i can't complain too much.

so, i suppose this could be worse, but i mean come one, a black dress with emeralds!?!? that's not new or exciting. debra messing looks pretty in her monique lhuillier, but it's pretty freaking boring.

thank you paula patton for wearing some flipping color. this chick is unbelievably hot. the shape of this monique lhuillier gown is not particularly new or interesting, but the color makes it so fierce that i don't really care. i love this woman. she just seems like the classiest and friendliest lady. so sexy.

oh diane, been there, worn that. i am super disappointed in this reem acra look. she is so stunning and this dress is just so boring... the makeup also leaves something to be desired, i mean, is she even wearing any?

i like this calvin klein a lot. i mean it's fabulous. the only fault i can find with the lovely heidi klum is her lack of under-eye concealer. this is brilliant.

usually michelle williams is my shining star. i love absolutely everything about her.. but tonight i am definitely left a little bummed... my problem isn't really the jason wu dress, but the weird headband... i don't know it just doesn't work for me. i still love her and her acceptance speech almost brought me to tears. LOVE HER.

kate winslet is like an acting goddess... and she's so brilliant that the gods have bestowed upon her a magical fountain of youth... i mean she looks like 15 years younger than she did like 10 years ago. she's also like the most talented actress of our time... but none of those things help with this jenny packham gown. it's only okay. her hair and makeup are stunning. beautiful.

HOMELAND!!!!!! omg, claire danes deserved that award! so happy! she's freaking brilliant on that show!!! and this j mendel dress has a lot of interesting things going for it, but something about it was just a little old for me. i love her old hollywood hair and red lipstick. she should definitely wear that lip more often.

i'm bummed. i never dislike what emma stone wears :( but alas, this lanvin dress is just so blah. the eggplant color bores me to tears. i like the strong shoulder and deep v, but seriously a giant bird belt... i can't wait to see what she wears to the oscars.

hey foxy lady. sophia vergara is a super sexy woman and this vera wang just leaves a lot to be desired. don't get me wrong she still looks wonderful, but it just doesn't give me that oomph i was hoping for.

boo. so rooney mara, this supposed fashion hot shot, bored me to tears in a nina ricci gown. plus, her hair looks like a greasy afterthought. not great.

tina fey. this is the best i have ever seen her look. i love this oscar de la renta, so impressed with her.

don't hate. i mostly like this versace gown on angie. i wish her purse wasn't red and that her shoes were different, but i feel like the gown is a classic old hollywood look and it's beautiful! i love her. haters can kiss it.

i am obsessed with the new crop of nude polishes. they come across so chic and stylish on a short, round nail. i feel like it just screams glamour. for winter pairing nudes on your fingers with deep navys and plums on your toes is super sexy. and for the spring and summer mixing them with oranges and hot pinks is just beyond chic. to check out my favorite shades keep reading after the break...

this essie color, eternal optimist, has lovely pink undertones. it's a girly nude, that will never go out of style.

this revlon color, gray suede, is a gray nude with a touch of shimmer. it looks delicate and pretty and the touch of shimmer makes it great for a cocktail party or night out.

this color is ah-mazeballs. it's sally hansen salon manicure in malt. it's brilliant. i get compliments whenever i wear this. plus, the formula and brush are better than most "designer" polishes.

this is another sally hansen. petal pushers is a great light, delicate nude. it looks very pretty with a decidedly modern touch. plus, it's dry in like a minute.

so, i'm confused. i get that rooney mara went crazy method transforming from your average preppy white girl to this "bad ass" by cutting her hair, piercing things, and dying her eye brows blonde... but i have to say, she got paid boat loads to do it... and if i'm not mistaken noomi rapace already did all of that in the successful swedish version. any who, i'm not trying to hate on mara as far as i can tell she talented and is just a pawn in all of this. her stylists are going wild with her and people are going cah-razy. personally, i think she's simply wearing things that tilda swinton would wear... she's just younger and, arguably more attractive. swinton has long been a big name among the avant-garde and fashion elite, i think the fashion world is forgetting how brilliant fashion can be because a pretty girl is wearing contrived "modern" fashion. i'm also not saying that her fashion is bad, i quite like it, i'm just bothered by how mesmerized everyone seems to be with her style when her point of view is not particularly new or different.

my causal pick. you all know my disdain for all things kardashian, but the oldest k undoubtedly has the best fashion sense of the bunch and i love her jacket, her hat, the boots, etc. basically i think this outfit is brilliant. perfect for a cas christmas party or doing some fashionable last minute present shopping. that reminds me, i can't wait to see what you all got me!!!!

well if it isn't our favorite serial dater... i mean seriously, penn, leo, ryan, and ryan!?!? anywho, i can't speak to her acting talent unless you count the traveling pants movies and elvis and annebelle, but sans stylist blake lively has an ah-mazing sense of style. i love that this gucci holiday look is bright and shiny without being sparkly. the skirt is beyond.

omg. can't wait for mission impossible!!!! such an action movie junkie... plus paula patton is like beyond hot. she's super hot and this naeem khan gown is out-of-control. i adore the big sexy hair, smokey eye, and those legs... jealous. i'm obsessed with her louboutin's. i love an angry shoe.

it's my twin... i wish people would hire me the way they hire her... perhaps i should work on my opera pipes, or not. any way emmy rossum has really upped her fashion game in the past year and this naven frock is the perfect holiday attire. the color is genius on her super pale skin. it just lights up. her makeup is flawless. want this dress.

hi viola davis, you're a genius. and this dress is unbelievable. the color, omg, the color. it's not your typical holiday jewel tone, but i love this color on her. the leather detail at the neckline is cah-razy good. and her hair is sooooo spot on. the look feels festive and fun. i would totally rock this dress.

so as we all know, i went to ball... we also know that i looked FAB-ulous!!! now, i have to admit, i was not responsible for my diva updo, based on molly sims' brilliant wedding hair and a chic bun worn by kate bosworth. when my bFf showed me the pics of what she thought i should do, i was pretty sure that would never be able to pull it off on my own. then surprise!!! my darling dear surprised me with a uptini(updo) courtesy of the good people at drybar in san diego! yes, my bFf is better than yours! have you every heard of drybar!?! it's a brilliant concept, their tag line "no cuts. no color. just blowouts." says it all. it's literally a bar to get a blowout and they also do updos. no matter how much hair you have all blowouts are only 35 bucks. sounds good to me.

i had a pleasant experience, it seems that customer service is very important with the drybar crew... which as a former customer service rep is always a good thing in my book. the employees were eager to offer me a beverage and magazine. the styling was quick and well done, thanks michelle. no complaints from this girl. i'd definitely go back for a cosmopolitan blow out ;)

okay, already i know that there are going to be super haters... and to them i say SCRAM!!!! these books/movies were not made for the masses, they were made for a certain type of person... a person who day dreams, a person who loves all things nerd, a person whose imagination always gets the better of them... i am all of these things... bella is a girl who, while being awkward and uncool, is destined for more than her small life. she's beautiful and strange... the people who love these movies were never the popular people... or if they were they were always harboring some super nerd tendencies. we all want to be bella... that's why these books are fascinating... not because it's a genius story or even particularly well written. it's a fantasy that we all want to be apart of... we want the beautiful/perfect/dangerous boy to fall in love with us...

enough of that... i have found good and bad things with every twilight film, but i didn't have as many negatives as i expected with bd. it was my least favorite book, but the movie pleasantly surprised me. the film was the first that really showed bella and edward in love... no brooding(at least for the first half of the movie) just a couple in love. it was refreshing. the wedding was absolutely stunning. and the dress. holy crap the dress. carolina herrera outdid herself. it was insane. i was very surprised at the scandalously low back. the honeymoon was equally beautiful, brazil is freaking stunning. once again, i loved seeing how comfortable the happy cullens were... they were so cute and funny. gasp. i know, twilight movies are never funny!! and then the sex... oh, vampire sex. i thought the baby making scenes were good, not great. it was still pretty risque when i think about how little it was actually discussed in the book. the bed breaking was ah-mazing. but of course, with bed breaking comes demon baby... now this was the main reason i hated the book... oh geez... but honestly i sort of loved it in the movie. watching bella waste away was heartbreaking and kristen stewart really upped her acting game. enter the wolves, my main problem in the film... bad acting. bad acting all around. the wolves, of course, must destroy the demon baby before it can harm anyone. therefore jacob separates from the pack to protect bella and her vampire spawn. note to all: the cgi wolves talk... and it does not sound good. i could not stop laughing. glad that didn't last long. back to the good stuff. bella looks a hot friggin mess and i have to say that the birthing scene was the main reason i enjoyed this movie... it was disgusting and messy and gory. exactly as it was supposed to be. this movie has more blood than the previous 3 combined. LOVED IT. it was also gut wrenchingly sad, watching edward try to pump her chest over and over... sigh. there is a ton that i am leaving out... awful score, wolf/vampire fights. imprinting(stupid), blood in a sippy cup... but the basic gist is that if you love twilight, you will love the movie...

how many grown adults get to go to balls?!?! it's great... sort of. I love, just as much as any other girl, to put on a beautiful dress and feel ah-mazing... but there is something about formal military functions that instantly instill fear into my soul... you want to be appropriate without being boring... you want to stand out without looking like you are trying too hard. there are a ton a freaking rules. boo. i hate rules.

i bought my dress a few years ago at dillards of all places. it's a bcbg and it was seriously on sale. i thought the look and color were perfect for this season. my bFf abigail pretty much styled the rest... she could seriously open her own jewelry store. she sent the beautiful earrings and the citrine ring on my left hand. the house of harlow peacock ring was a b-day present from one of my favorite people in the world. abigail suggested hair, makeup, and nail polish(essie burgundy)... girl knows her formal wear so i obliged. the hair was totally out of my comfort zone, but it was a hit and really worked with the gown. the makeup was a red-ish smokey eye with a lovely nude lip... i felt pretty fabulous!!!

what has gotten into my girl kelly clarkson!?!?! she is promoting her latest album, stronger, which is ah-mazing and she is looking ah-mazing in wait for it... high heels!? i love this girl. LOVE. when i was a freshman in college i literally went up and down the halls of my dorm room with pieces of paper with her idol number on them and basically begged my hall mates to call in... i assured them it was a matter of life or death... i mean, have you heard her sing "don't play that song!" it's unbelievable, like aretha awesome and if she lost to justin guiowgwoi* no idea* it would've been tragic. since then i went to an idol concert, a kelly/clay concert, every single one... i mean, i'm dedicated. my friend gina and i are totally kelly groupies. this chick is the real effing deal. she is out-of-control talented and she is normal, i love any celeb that can keep it real and their feet planted firmly on the ground. i just wanna have a beer and shoot the shit with her because she seems so easy to talk to... oh and kelly if you are reading, please put out a blues album. i will buy a hundred thousand copies if necessary ;) okay not really, but i would love it. on to bid-ness... kelly's style evolution has definitely had some miss-steps, but why linger on the past, mama is rocking a new sassy attitude complete with skin tight dresses and sky high heels. i mean, boo is looking fierce. i'm so used to seeing her run around stage barefoot that these shoes are just cah-razy... anywho if you want to see sassy kelly's new look click below to keep on reading!!!!

whilst perusing though my daily fashion reads, i stumbled upon a refinery29 article asking how young is too young to wear a bikini? and i thought, this must be a frigging joke. the picture above accompanied the article... it's from a line called babi-kini... and i have to admit that this particular cut of bathing suit is a little perverse for an infant, but people were outraged in general by the idea of a baby in a bikini... something i, personally, find absolutely adorable. it's a baby, they run around freaking naked?! i mean, an adorable little bikini... is just that, adorable. we aren't talking thongs and push-up tops here people. why must everything be such a debate? i just hate that even dressing your kid for the beach is drama filled... some commenters said that as a baby it's fine to wear a bikini, but after that not until they are at least 17 or 18... what!?! what is so completely wrong with america that everything has to either be teaching young girls to have an eating disorder or that she's over-sexualized object... just because she is wearing a bikini? maybe it's that my parents are italian, or that they grew up in southern florida in the 70's, but showing skin just really isn't a big deal... i don't have children, so perhaps that's why i see a complete lack of issue with this topic, but it just seems silly. it reminds me when everyone was up in arms that suri cruise was wearing heels... i just don't see how that is relevant to the raising of a child... if they want to wear heels, let them. if they want to wear a bikini, i see no reason not to allow them... if you teach your kids how to handle themselves and respect who they are, whether it's an ugly one piece you make them wear or a tasteful bikini, you won't have anything to worry about.

so i decided since i am absolutely obsessed with all thing "beauty" that i should share my plethora of knowledge. letting you in on my absolute favorite products. first, i thought i'd venture into the world of skin care and share with you... drumroll....... my very favorite spot removers. both are a. cheap and b. effective. two of my favorite words when dealing with friggin pimples. ugh. hate. pimples. keep reading for my favorite zit zapping products.

1. origins super spot remover. i have been using origins spot remover for years and thought that i was picking up my normal stuff at the store and turns out it was "SUPER" spot remover. omg. it is super. it is gentle and doesn't cause too much flaking. put it on pre-zits and i swear that they will never become the monsters that they were intending on becoming. put it on a formed zit and that bitch will dry up before you have the chance to shed your first acne induced tear. this stuff rocks. the only down side is you really can't put makeup over it. it just cracks and makes the spot more noticeable. so i prefer to wear it sans makeup. if you have to wear makeup i suggest applying it after your makeup.

2. happy me skincare overnight pimple eliminator. now this stuff is brilliant. it smells funny and will definitely do zero good things for your sex life, but it is hella good at getting rid of pimples. it's all natural and contains sulfur, zinc oxide, tea tree oil... and it's pretty much awesome. the formula reminds me of sonya dakar's spot remover, but at 9 dollars a bottle it's a lot cheaper and i think, more effective. the only problem that i have found is that the product dries up before you can use the whole bottle.

*now for super zit busters. i layer these two. put origins on first and let dry then follow with "the white dots" as my husband calls them... and yes, he knows not to touch me when i've got the white dots going on.*

so, hands down the most brilliant tinted moisturizer you can buy is laura mercier. i am obsessed with their oil-free product. this stuff is insane. i have been using it for 5 years and it is still my favorite. it's a little thicker than most tinted moisturizers and has a build-able coverage. it goes on really easy, i always apply with clean fingers. in one coat it evens out skin tone and provides a fresh glow. if you have any redness that requires extra attention. you can pat it directly on the spot for extra coverage for days where concealer is just too much of a hassle. at 42 bucks it is in no way cheap, but it is well worth the money.

so, i have news. it's not awesome... well i'm hoping it will be awesome, but right now it just doesn't seem awesome... i've already said awesome too many times in this blog. we are... wait for it... moving. bloody hell. that's right, the hubs is transferring to a base north of where we currently are... and because i actually like to see my husband, we have decided to move... AGAIN. dear sweet lord. i'm really hoping this will be the last move for a few years. fingers crossed. we will be in our current place until january so i thought i would at least show you the decorating we have done so far... then in january we can start all over. hang head in shame.

so, there we have it. it is very much a work in progress. i was planning on hanging a grouping of pictures on bo's side of the bed. we were also going to make an art piece for over the hamper. the right side of the tv, which i very cleverly left out of the photos, is over the dogs beds and we were planning on having cartoon paintings of our dogs painted... so, we still might do some of this stuff, but since we aren't sure of the kind of space we will be moving to we've decided to put all projects on hold and just save, so we can pimp out the new place :) but what do you think so far? headed in the right direction?

i suppose i should just come clean and let you know... i am not one of those super pretentious, newspaper reading, non-tv owning people. i am, in fact, the exact opposite. i live for television. preferably, good television but i have no shame in admitting that i dvr the real housewives of beverly hills, new jersey, and new york. i love rachel zoe, tabatha coffey, and anything else that bravo airs... but my real love is prime time tv. i have a few standards, but this season there are a ton of new shows and surprisingly i dig a few of them. i have a habit of picking shows that get the ax after 4 episodes, but i'm hoping some of my shows last this year. keep reading for my breakdown of fall tv.

my standbys. if you aren't watching these shows you are soooo missing out.

modern family. funniest show on tv. hands down the most ah-mazing and well casted sitcom EVER. every single person on the show is a genius. if you only watch one show this fall, this should be it!!!

happy endings. omg. love. this show has filled the scrubs shaped hole in my heart. the cast is young and fresh and the comedy is so spot on. it's quick and smart, trust me you will laugh. out. loud.

the mentalist. patrick jane is my hero. this is the best "crime-solving" show on tv. it's such a smart show. patrick is a "consultant" for the cbi and uses his unorthodox methods of observation and trickery to always catch the bad guy... the only one he can't catch is red john, a serial killer, who killed both his wife and daughter. dude. it's so good. simon baker is hilarious and the supporting cast is great. this show is definitely worth the netflix.

the vampire diaries. i know, i know. but let me tell you something. this show is like crack. cw crack. it doesn't hurt that the boys are cute. elena is a sweet innocent thing who along with her brother moves in with her aunt after her parents are killed in a car accident. the town, of course, is running rampant with vamps. stefan the kind hearted vampire falls desperately in love with her. while his angry and oh-so-much-hotter brother, damon, likes to kill folks for fun. well, lots of stuff happens... like you find out she's a doppleganger for a vampire that both damon and stefan fell head over heels for a billion years ago. that her parents weren't actually her parents. that angry damon is actually just sad, sweet, and heartbroken. that the mayor is a werewolf. and that an angry all powerful vamp-wolf needs to sacrifice elena to break his curse. then the love triangle. omg. the love triangle. the sexual tension is insane. if you dig vampires. you gotta at least give it a try.

dexter. ok, this is the reason i have showtime. this show is ah-mazing. dexter is a special dude. by day, he works as a blood splatter analyst for the miami pd. by night, he is a dark passenger carrying serial killer - serial killer. that's right. dexter's got issues. i know it sounds super morbid, but it really is fascinating and the writing is so well done. you are constantly on the edge of your seat waiting for more. it's probably my favorite show on tv. i will warn you, if you start watching the past seasons be prepared to waste days sitting in front of the tv. it's that good.

pretty little liars. the show is currently on their second season hiatus and will return in january. it's the perfect time to catch up... because you do not want to miss this show. it's fabulous. i've raved about it before here. but seriously, it's so intriguing and addictive. a year after their best friend alison goes missing, her body is found and the 4 remaining liars begin to receive mysterious texts, letters, etc from someone calling themselves A. A's involvement in the girls lives starts harmless, but very quickly escalates to dangerous and straight up evil. there are a ton of suspects which makes it even more difficult to figure out. so many secrets, so little time. you HAVE to know what's happening and you legitimately care for the characters. plus, the fashion. oh the fashion.

new shows i'm loving.

revenge. ok, if you are needing a young, fresh, evening soap opera. then look no further. now hear me out. the show is done so well and understated that it complete intrigues without being cheesy. emily thorne moves to the glamourous hamptons with an agenda, revenge. when she was a child her life was torn apart when her father is arrested and taken from her forever. when emily discovers at age 16 that he was framed for a pretty gnarly terrorist attack by all of his hamptonite "friends" she is angry and ready to destroy some lives. with the boatload of cash he left her, she moves back into her childhood home with a new name and quickly gets to work exposing affairs, insider trading, etc. just watch one episode and you will probably want some more.

hart of dixie. i have to admit i wasn't expecting a single thing from this show, but i LOVE rachel bilson so i was completely excited. this show was so much fun. and bilson's wardrobe does NOT disappoint. zoe hart, a fast talking new yorker and a monster talented neurosurgeon, is passed over for an important fellowship and fate leads her to a small general practice in bluebell, alabama. she meets some interesting people and a friendly alligator. the boy is just beyond handsome and in a twist is, of course, engaged to the town mean girl southern belle. as a person from the south and the north, the culture shock makes for an adorable television experience. i really hope this lasts because i enjoyed watching.

a gifted man. i watched this show out of pure boredom and i was completely taken with it. michael holt is a play boy neurosurgeon who cares more about himself than anything, runs into the love of his life his ex-wife anna(played BRILLIANTLY by jennifer ehle) and spends an evening talking and reminiscing, even admitting to her that she was the best part of his life. the next day he is shocked to find out that anna has been dead for 2 weeks. whhhhaaaaa!?!? it's soooo good. michael starts to doubt his sanity, but anna keeps coming back asking for help for the small free clinic she was running... then he has a choice, ignore her or help... it's so good and funny in a weird way, but mostly it's just so powerful to get to watch him change from a hard self-centered man to a better person... and dude, even if it sucked patrick wilson is so hot. so so hot.

the new girl. who's that girl!? it's JESS!! this might be the cutest show ever. zooey deschanel is so freaking perfect for the role. jess finds out that her boyfriend is a big fat cheater and seeks out a new living arrangement. she moves in with 3 dudes, who basically allow her to move in because she has model friends. jess watches dirty dancing a lot, is constantly singing, references the lord of the rings... it's hilarious, complete with a doucebag jar and sexy farm girls. i mean, i can't stress enough it's so funny.

new shows i still haven't made up my mind about.

ringer. sarah michelle geller returns to the cw. it should be a no brainer and rock my socks... but it's just okay. swg plays twins bridget and siobhan. both with sorted pasts. bridgett is a stripper/prostitute who witnesses a murder and in exchange for her testimony will have charges against her dropped. well, the day before the trail she gets scared and flies the coup. she runs to her sister, siobhan who is an upper east side socialite and just so happens has never mentioned to a soul that she has a twin sister. the two go on a boat ride. bridget passes out and when she wakes up siobhan is gone, killed herself... um, hey bridg have you never seen sleeping with the enemy. well, of course, siobhan left her wedding rings... so bridget decides that she should just pretend to be her sister. oh god. so she enters siobhan's crazy life and finds that people were after siobhan too. and then, gasp, we find out that siobhan is alive and living in paris... oh dear. the green screen work is terrible and it just gets soooo cheesy, but at the same time you do sorta want to know what's going. not sure.

the playboy club. i really like this show, i do, but it's still not completely sold me yet. amber heard plays bunny maureen who on one of her first days manages to get sexually assaulted by a mob boss, who she happens to kill with her stiletto. drama, drama, drama. nick, eddie cibrian, a former mob clean up guy helps maureen dispose of the body and then is caught by his girlfriend/bunny mother carol-lynne, who assumes he is cheating. so there's that story-line... there's a bunny who's secretly married and on the run from her crazy hubs. there's a chocolate bunny looking to be the first black real estate mogul. there's a happily married bunny who's actually a leader in gay and lesbian underground community... so basically it's really interesting... i think i am just worried it will be canceled... it's pretty fun.

unforgettable. carrie wells remembers everything... i mean everything. she's one of the rare few who can remember everything from any day, any year... she actually can't forget. after a neighbor is murdered, her ex-boyfriend requests her help and then, of course, she is the star detective. cause that's how it works. right!?!? the show offers a fun twist of crime dramas, but when she is "remembering" things and she goes back and watches what she saw... it's soooooooo cheesy. i mean so freaking cheesy. but there is an interesting story line involving carrie as a child, she is still trying to solve her sisters murder and that is the reason i will watch again.

person of interest. yes, another crime drama. but this one is like law and order meets big brother meets wanted. it's way too confusing to explain to you, but basically it stars michael emerson(ben linus from lost) and jim caviezel(jesus). and jesus kicks ass. basically a computer system churns out social security numbers of people... these people are either going to be victims, or maybe involved in a crime... or something. they don't know. they just follow these people and try and deduce why they are people of interest... the action is brilliant, but i fear it lacks staying power... i'll try again... one more time.

new shows that suck.

pan am. omg. stewardess that kick ass. no thanks. it was cheesy and melodramatic... did i mention it was cheesy!? the girls are super cute, but the show had nothing to grab you and make you want to watch more. spy flight attendants do nothing for me. the music made me believe that something super important was about to happen every 5 minutes... it didn't. i'd pass.

2 broke girls. dear lord. 3 minutes of this dry show complete with laugh track is more than enough to decide it lacks staying power. i love kat dennings, but it was so bad. the writing isn't terrible, but it moved sooooo slow that i felt like it took a few ambien before it came on. and the horse? what the hell is with the horse? no bueno.

whitney. this show is performed in front of a live studio audience. oh dear god. it was not good. i dig whitney cummings, she's hilarious but this show was possibly the cheesiest thing ever and the constant laughter doesn't help. some of it could actually be really funny but the laughing is so distracting that i couldn't stand it. we changed it before the first commercial break.

charlie's angels. holy shitty dialogue batman. this was like if alias decided to be awful. these 3 are not what you would call "believable" and the acting, story, writing is all sub-par. i mean, really it's terrible. but i can't get beyond the writing it is so cheesy, but then the filmmaking looks all michael mann documentary style... it totally doesn't fit. pretty girls. crappy tv.

i love nothing more than making fun of bad celebrity outfits... unfortunately, there weren't that many awful ones at tonight's 63rd emmy awards. don't worry there were enough. the color trends were pretty simple. reds and white with sparkle. elie saab was probably the most successful designer of the evening. a few folks tried to step out of the fashion trend box, ahem-- claire and gwyneth... not so awesome. the show was pretty entertaining. loved jane lynch. soooo happy for all of the modern family cast!!!! i mean, seriously, the funniest show in the history of television. genius. and for funsies, i gave you a lil' pic of my favorite vampire diaries boy, ian somerhalder in armani. he's cute. alright, here we go people... keep reading past the break for the fun to begin...

now maybe i just love julia stiles because of the last season of dexter. omg. she was brilliant. love. love. love. i really hope that she comes back one day... dexter needs her. yes, i'm still talking about dexter. okay. i'm sorry. the dress, the dress. it's a beautiful georges hobeika. i just love this. it's very simple but the fit is absolutely genius. i love how easy her hair and makeup are. then the dark nail... she just looks like an absolutely beautiful woman. this is probably my favorite of the night.

hooray, i actually like what christina hendricks is wearing!!!!!!! this johanna johansson gown fits her curves beautifully!!!! like come on! this chick is so hot and i adore when she wears gowns that show off her amazing curves without going over the top with ruffles and whatnot. i love her hair in a modern take on the retro pin curl thing... and the orange-red lip, shut up. absolutely love her. although i am seeing her a little differently after watching drive. ew. yuck. wowza. never thought i'd see that much of her brain...

yes. yes. yes. this is brilliant. sophia vergara rocking a beautiful vera wang dress and looking flawless! the shape and color are just fabulous. the earrings are magnificent. this is pretty much perfect. the only thing i'd change is her lip color, it's almost exactly her dress color. no bueno sophia.

how fabulous is heidi klum!?!? she's rocking a christian siriano gown. i think mrs. seal is one of those ladies that could wear a paper bag dress and look stunning... bitch. i love the ruby earrings with the taupe gown. she's perfect.

um hello gorgeous. evan rachel wood is so beautiful and this elie saab gown is just stunning. i know it's black, but she was one of the few rocking black on the carpet. i love it. she just looks glamourous and beautiful. so timeless. i miss queen sophie ann on true blood :(

wowza. whatever kate winslet is doing i wanna know. i mean, is she actually just getting hotter and hotter in front of our eyes? i would love to know who her face doctors are... i mean, right!?!? she's rocking elie saab too. it's simple but fits her so well, ah-mazing tailoring. she looks so sexy. love her. love this look.

maybe i am just super boring this evening, but this gown makes me so very happy. naya rivera is beautiful and i adore that she went with a sophisticated gown... she tends to go trashy... not this time. wow. what a beautiful woman. i am absolutely in love with this look. the architectural detailing is brilliant. i want this gown for the marine corps ball. obsessed.

so, is katie holmes going to a beach part or the emmys? confused. but at the same time... i sort of like it. she's super underdressed for the occasion but she looks pretty and put together which is more than i can say for some of these ladies. oh just wait... there are some awful ones coming up...

good ole nina debrov. i'm kinda surprised she was invited to the emmys and don't get me wrong, love her, but i am surprised because the cw hasn't gotten emmy love since the buffy days. this donna karan does exactly what lea michelle's gown doesn't, see below. i feel it's still a bit old on debrov but with her insane body and her legs that are, seriously, 3 miles long, it's pretty stunning.

how cute is sarah hyland!?! i sorta love this look. she's rocking a christian siriano gown and i think everything about this is young and hip. i love the color. the shoes. the belt. the bracelet. the loose hair. this look is great. and i adore that she looks like a chic young lady. super cute.

another elie saab. emily blunt is so freaking stunning. wow. wow. wow. i think she is beyond beautiful annnnnnd she's married to john krasinski which means she has to be awesome, right!?!? this gown is once again sorta boring, but still looks nice and really fits her perfectly.

rashida jones is such a cutie and crazy funny. love her makeup. love her hair. love her earrings. love her bracelets. i love everything BUT her alberta ferretti dress. it's just so cotton candy and doesn't seem to speak to her look or style at all. it also doesn't seem to fit her particularly well. not my favorite on her.

this marchesa is a monster step in the right direction for elizabeth moss. but while the dress is on trend and very pretty on her, all i can see is that hair... it looks sooooo old. like mad men old. not awesome on the red carpet. it's like she tried to do what christina hendricks rocked with her hair and failed miserably. but yay, she's definitely improving her red carpet style.

oh deb. have i mentioned how much i adore dexter!?!? if you don't watch this show, dude, you are so missing out. jennifer carpenter is beautiful and i actually really love her hair and makeup. i mean her hair is flawless. the dress is beautiful too. buuuut something about it seems a wee bit trashy... maybe it's the boob and the slit up to her lady biz. pick one jenn.

so julianna margulies is beautiful and is usually sooooo well dressed... the queen of simple fashion, narciso rodriguez is her go to designer. this armani prive is so blah and the bodice, um, hello weird. i hate to make a second vampire diaries reference, but homegirl has moonstones glued to her gown. so not loving this. really bad.

i loooove taraji p henson but sister looks a hot mess in this blumarine gown. um, what the heck coach!? the dress is not flattering... AT ALL. the looseness around her waist is strange and her boobs definitely need some more support... and where's her makeup? is she wearing any? i mean she is stunning and her skin is beyond beautiful, but this just looks like she rolled out of bed. not her best.

love cat. and this monique lhuillier is really pretty. and that's about it. i love her street style and i totally wish she would've brought her boho influence into the styling of this look... it could've been much edgier, instead it's just a pretty dress on a pretty girl.

jayma mays... this is a tough one... i like parts of this zuhair murad gown. the skirt and the bodice are really cute. the color is actually very pretty on her... the sleeve and the sheer on the chest just looks super old lady. sheer can be really young and hip a la stella mccartney, but in this color and with the embroidery all i see is granny. and the lipstick is not my favorite either. she's so sweet... this look isn't.

i feel like lea michelle is getting a little too big for her britches and honestly i'm not even excited about the new season of glee... it just isn't blowing my skirt up and neither is this middle aged marchesa... this gown was designed for someone at least 10 years older than michelle. i mean her body is bangin' but the gown itself is just super boring. and the hair and makeup are fine but definitely bordering on drag queen... next.

ahhhhhh. claire danes looks angry... that eyeliner is harsh. dude. i can't get passed it... she looks so mad. and the oscar de la renta gown is so harsh and harsh. and on top of that, the shape looks exactly like every other gown she's worn in the past year just with crazy colors and awful eyeliner. this is yucky. i am not pleased.

this gwyneth look really wouldn't bother me if it didn't appear that she had a sheer fabric bulge in her midsection. i mean this pucci dress gives the unbelievably slender gwynie a muffin top... tracy anderson would not be pleased. i'm not pleased.

another gleek... and i gotta say another pretty terrible gown. this roksanda ilincic gown is not attractive, it makes dianna agron look dumpy across the top... and the middle... and the bottom. now i've seen her in nearly naked in gq. dumpy she is not. her hair and makeup are pretty. and i lalalalove the earrings... she sort of looks like amber heard(love her) they should absolutely play sisters. pretty girl, ugly dress.

holy oh no batman. oh geez. i hate being mean to seemingly lovely people, but jenna aushkowitz what were you thinking!?!? this is just awful. the dress is ghadah paris and it's terrible. it's ancient looking and just ridiculous. the earrings are about the only good thing going on here. the makeup is too much, i mean her cheeks look dirty. it's the the exact way NOT to apply bronzer. and the hair is so 70's and not in the good relevant way... she should call me.

holy dear sweet mother of god. this lady is freaking insane. what is this!?!? the dress is very versace circa 2000, it's awful. so very awful. and what is on her face!?!? is that grey lipstick? dear lord. this pisses me off. why does this crazy chick get to wear designer gowns and get to act on award winning shows... she is clearly a mental case... i think she was arrested for public drunkenness or something a few months ago. big surprise.

pretty girl. really ugly dress. is minka kelly going to a funeral after the emmys? because if so, this dior is perfect. i don't have much more to offer. she is beautiful but nothing about this dress says fresh, pretty, or chic. it's just blah navy lace. but as my husband would say, "at least it covers her cankles." she can do lots better.

holy moly it's bat shit crazy barbie. heather morris is so cute and has a seriously fabulous body, but come on!!! she's my favorite gleek and probably the only reason i'll try and watch this season. but dude, this look is nuts. the bodice to the waist is about the only good thing worth mentioning. the skirt is just an insane mass of oddly manipulated fabric. the hair looks like a 90's prom and just in case you weren't sure... that's not good. at least her makeup is pretty. hmmm.

amy poehler is a funny lady and when she walked up on stage after they called her name during the nominations, i nearly peed myself i was laughing so hard. but ew, this peter som dress is terrible. is she planning on doing some deep sea diving after the show? honestly, if she were gisele or kate bosworth or any stick figure without boobs then this might work. but her ladies definitely make her look like she has a uni-boob. plus, she looks super broad shouldered... it's just not flattering to her body at all. i would say better luck next time, but i feel like she could care less about fashion. it's almost a joke to her... and looking ridiculous is never funny... well unless i'm making fun of you.

another snl lady with some serious fit issues. kristen wiig can be very funny. i also really like her style... i do not like this zac posen dress. i can't tell if it's an awful dress or a beautiful dress tailored horribly. but since i can't get a close up, i'm gonna go ahead and says this is pretty terrible. the ombre fabric is very unflattering, the dark brown over the boobs makes them appear droopy. it's like they are melting onto her bellybutton... then the dark around her butt makes that appear bigger... boo.

home sweet condo. part 1. seeing gray.

so, as we all know i am a cali girl now. well, slightly more bad ass and uptight cali girl, but a cali girl none the less. i have lived in 6 homes. 5 states in the the past 4.5 years. and one thing that i have found about myself is that i CANNOT live in a space that doesn't feel like home. i don't care if i'm only renting. i must have pictures everywhere, my books must be out and displayed, and it just needs to feel like a space where people say ooooOOOOOoooo... soothing and pretty and cool. always gotta be cool. we have the brilliant 2 bed, 2 bath penthouse-ish space in downtown san diego. the first room i'm going to show you is my guest room/office. at the past 6 homes my office has been a separate room than the guest room and neither of those have been "decorated." they were both just junk rooms. when we moved to cali, i had to figure out how to make the 2 rooms 1. keep reading to see what i came up with.

she's so crafty:

found this painting at ross for 15 dollars, so i just painted the frame to go with the look a bit better...

i took the glass out of a frame added some cork sheets and some fabric and what do you know!?! a diy cork board. note, you need to layer those cork sheets at least 4 or 5 thick otherwise the push pins won't stay in.

i needed a vase but i had already spent so much money that i grabbed a double old fashion glass out of the cupboard and added christmas decoration pearls in varying sizes. i wrapped an ivory grosgrain ribbon around the cup and added some silk peonies. i think that's a pretty rad floral arrangement created with all things i found around the house.

so i needed some art but i'm not a super painter, so i painted canvas with the idea from madebygirl's fancier site cocoa and hearts. i didn't have the dough to buy her artwork... and honestly, it is insanely easy to do on your own for very cheap.

so, i was busy minding my own business watching new episodes of true blood and entourage. soooo good. and then i see a frenzy on twitter. the vmas are on. yaaaaaaaay. that was said with mucho sarcasm. after getting our hbo on we switched over to mtv. OHMYGOD. shoot me in foot. what is wrong with the world!?!?

ok, forget the world... what is wrong with lady gaga!?!?!!? so now she is cross dressing as the karate kid and that's art!?(thanks gina) she is so full of her own crap that i think she actually believes that she is an innovative artist... let's break it down. she is a mildly talented, decent looking girl who writes super catchy tunes and dresses and acts like a moron in hopes that people will think she's a genius... she is not. i am not buying whatever shit she's selling. but enough of her madness. on to the fashion. keep reading past the break for all the fun.

zoe saldana. one of the only ensembles of the night that didn't make me want to vomit in my mouth. this barbara bui dress is freaking ah-mzing. it's the perfect mix of chic and bad ass. and the shoes. oh holy yes, the shoes. the proportions of the dress are so genius... but remind me, why the hell is zoe saldana at the vmas? just saying.

katie holmes. joey potter. mrs. crazy-pants cruise. girl looks hot. i mean you have to give it to her. the hair is brilliant and sexy without a billion extensions. the dress is super cute and incredibly flattering... the boots are a little iffy but overall super cute. once again, whhhhy is she there? her scary movie is in theatres?! yeah, i'll pass...

mrs. jay-z is with child. biiiiig surprise. but momma beyonce is looking hot in lanvin. this is more elegance than the vmas deserves... it may even be overkill. but love the jewels. love the color. i'd say this is pretty fabulous.... and hey, at least she's a musician and it makes sense for her to attend to show.

oh adele. adele. adele. adele. i LOVE adele and i am majorly positively sure that she was the only performance worth watching on the show. she's a brilliant musician and she proves it buy writing emotional and beautiful songs and singing them... no showy dancers, no synthesized auto tune. she just sings. go figure. she is so talented, but i gotta say not loving her look. the dress is fine. the makeup is the usual. the hose and shoes are typical too... but the hair... it's just so silly. she is still amazing.

so this is cute, a little kid dressing up like demi moore in the 80's. i can't understand this look at all. selena gomez is an adorable girl and she's beautiful. so why?! answer me! why does a young pretty girl wants to look like elvira?! i mean, this is gross. it looks like someone super glued shit from the halloween party store on her gown. ew. ew. ew. she looks so old. i mean, i want to have a fashion intervention. sit her down and tell her she's beautiful and that this is not acceptable.

oh britster... you know, she doesn't look as bad as she has in recent years. i mean, her hair looks great. her make up looks great. the outfit itself, a romper, isn't awful. but the boots. oh the boots. yuck. i mean, when you are built like a cheerleader, muscular and squat, you want to elongate your legs, with say a nude pump or sandal... these boots cut her off at the ankle making her look super short and really make her calves look chunky, which is not the case. brit, give me a call. i could def solve your styling issues. other than adele, her "tribute" was the most fun... it was actually really awesome, all those lil' mini brits. super cute.

uuuuugggghhh. WHY ARE YOU FAMOUS!?!?! this gown is so off. from the front it just looks like any other boring tight dress kk would wear. i can't put my finger on it, but the back sheer panel actually makes it look like she has love handles. and that's not a good look on anyone, not even a super famous drag queen... too far?

oh my lord. what is this? seriously? someone tell me... quick before i start breaking things. the ysl pin, the jeans, the shoes, the chains... so terrible. he looks like a chick who wants to be a dude. there is nothing i can say to make this better... i am just going to get meaner. the end.

oh dear. i feel really bad for this poor girl. demi lovato has had a tough year. rehab for unnamed reasons... i'm gonna go ahead and say for eating disorder or drugs... because she really puffed up. and she is trying to cover it up with a horrid spray tan, giant fake hair, and a terrible dress. hopefully she can get her life together. there is only room for one lalohan in this world. too young to be so messed up.

katy perry is such a special lady. i mean "special" like in the head. i don't understand a single decision she makes, fashion or otherwise. except for maybe marrying russell brand, he's a GENIUS. her music is a mystery to me... but what i do know is that her hair is gonna be so tore up from this pink. omg. it's gonna be a bitch to die back and it must be soooooo dry... yes, that was a random tangent.

mmmmkay. nicki minaj is a super weird cat. like suuuuper weird. but i have to say the music i have heard she is pretty fabulous. i've never actually listened to her solo stuff. but on kayne's album she is brilliant. she says it best, "you can be the king, but watch the queen conquer." LOVE it. but i still can't get behind the fashion. it looks like a lisa frank store vomited on her. i'm sick of musicians "expressing" themselves through their clothing. it's about attention, not the music and i am super tired of fame whores... i'm still undecided about her.

woooow. okay. so when smiley cyrus walked on stage i said, "wow, lauren conrad looks like shit." in this roberto cavalli gown hannah montana manages to age herself at least 10 years. if not 30. she is a cute girl and she's tall and she's skinny... her people shouldn't let her make mistakes like this. my nanny has better sense than to wear this grandma crap. side note. if you have never seen the miley cyrus show on snl you are missing out. sooooo funny.

i don't think these young kids realize that they can look grown up without looking senior. not a single one of these young stars looks fresh and fashionable. it's the "grown ups" who get it right. maybe it's true that youth is wasted on the young... but these youth have bajillions of dollars and million dollar stylists. someone should be telling them no. that's why so many of these kids are so effed up... if you can't tell them they look like crap for an award show, how are you gonna tell them no when it comes to important things like drugs and whatnot... perhaps it's a bit of a stretch, but i am sick of seeing children treated like they are adults... whoa. got deep for a second.

so, i have officially been the worst blogger ever, but i figure, sometimes it's a good thing to be too busy to blog. the hubs, the boys, and i have been truly enjoying time together in sunny california. it's been a very exciting time trying to figure out the giant new city we live in. we just had a slew of visitors and i'm finally slowing things down, so i thought i'd start with a fun little post about my must haves for the fall.

despite what i thought about california... that it was always sunny and never cold... i was very much mistaken. san diego gets quite chilly on a weekly basis... not that i'm complaining, but i definitely wasn't prepared for that. my family is from southern florida, so i'm not used to having to wear a hoodie to the beach. but i love it. i am so spoiled to living anywhere else. but i am so excited that fall/winter fashion will still get to make an appearance. here's my list, click on the photos to shop.

aaahhhh, good ole celebrity dress up. an oldie, but a goodie. my hair is all one color and v and z were still the adorable little high school musical couple that we all had grown to adore. well, mostly me adoring how friggin hot he is, right!?!? what? he's legal!!! this look is beyond simple, but i think it screams sexy and causal. love it. so easy. just pair a flowy light top with some ripped up skinnies, a statement wedge, and some funky earrings. leave hair in it's natural state and whip up into a messy pony, i did a little 80's thing with mine. and badda boom.

tracy anderson is sorta my hero...

so, who DOESN'T want g.palts super hot body!?!?! if you say you don't you are lying through your big lying mouth. her body is without a doubt spectacular and she says it's all because of one, tracy anderson. i'm sure you've heard her name before. i became interested in ta when i heard that she trained madonna. pretty impressive, right!?! so when g.palts started showing up to award shows in micro-mini's after she had her second child and said it was to do with tracy's "method" i immediately bought 2 of her dvds. her first mat and dance cardio dvds leave much to be desired, but when done consistently they definitely had a lovely effect on my rear end. but the dvds are long and boring, so i rarely busted them out... i ended up hitting the gym and trying the weight thing, which tracy says is a big no-no. i don't fully buy into the fact that women bulk when they lift weights... it's just not the case... but i do prefer the lean dancers body that ta promotes. since december-ish i have been seeing a trainer doing everything i can to make my thighs and butt tighter and higher. now, i loved my trainer lance, but while i am stronger i never really got the results that i wanted. so, i am sorta obsessed with her new program, it's genius!!! no trainer required.

so, tracy recently developed her "metamorphosis" program to help women target what area they need the most help in and then in 90 days help them achieve the perfect body. you chose from hip, glute, ab, or omnicentric body types. i chose the hip and i love it. the set consists of 4 dvds. 1 dance cardio that you use throughout the 90 days and 9 different muscular structure workouts which you change every 10 days. dude, i'm like 6 days in and it is crazy awesome. like i love this workout. the plan comes with a diet plan, but as strict of a vegan as i am, i am choosing not to follow it, but i fully believe that if done right this program can do brilliant things for your body and your confidence. i swear, no one is paying me to say anything kind about this program, i really just love it. maybe in a few months i'll be brave enough to show off my results ;)

**i wanted to add. the system runs 80 bucks or so, so it's not super cheap, but it is cheaper than 2 months of my former gym membership... and don't get me started on how much i spent on my darling trainer. so i think it's a brilliant investment.

so, i've been a major blog loser as of late. i've been such a nutcase, stressing, organizing, stressing... in 20 some odd days my lovely hubs and our 2 ah-mazing dogs are moving across the flipping country. wowzas. we have no idea where will live or when exactly we leave, it's just the life we have chosen. oh, military life. but anywho, as mentioned above i've come to you today spreading the good word of fashion... i thought i'd let you know about cool new adventures, sweet blogs, and some things you may not have known.

first, i just started guest blogging on the real mean girl and boy, oh boy is it fun. she is a hilarious blogger who will make fun of any deserving soul. love. it. i talk a little fashion and help guide you through the new and best trends. you can check out my first two posts here and here. but seriously, you should be reading this blog daily. it's coffee-out-your-nose funny.

second, i have been writing for the most ah-mazing wedding blog for a while now and let me tell you it's so much fun!!!! the savannah wedding planner is one of my favorite blogs. morgan gallo is definitely the most genius wedding planner out there... yes, she planned my wedding and it was literally perfect. i am so blessed to write for her blog! i've taken quite a break with the move, but you can find a bunch of my past blogs here. I write about everything, but a few of my favorite blogs are on how to mix and match your bridal party, dressing like your favorite disney character and NOT looking like an idiot, and the proper way to wear white as a guest. i will be back there soon. i have some ah-mazing budget bride looks planned. very exciting.

my night out with brooke davis...

a few weeks ago, against my will, i went out to celebrate a friends birthday... i'm not much of what you call a "drinker" or a "party girl" or anything that sounds remotely like a "fun person." haha. true story. i'm a total homebody. i like to go out and have delicious meals and wear pretty clothes, but going to clubs and bars... totally not my scene. i tried to keep my look chill. i'm rocking my favorite american apparel leggings. my favorite bdg black tee. and a cardi and necklace from good ole' banana republic.

we ended up at this obnoxiously loud club and as soon as we entered sophia bush walked by me... we do live in the world of one tree hill here in wilmington so it really wasn't a big surprise. my hubs totally watches OTH with me and lovingly refers to her as her character "brooke davis." he had a ton to drink and kept letting me know that brooke davis had totally "eye-did him"... sure she did honey, eye roll... and since, i'm not super tack i have no picture to show of the darling sophia bush, but let me assure you, she is adorable and really does have rad style. now if only the good folks over at one tree hill would hire me... le sigh.

my sister in law is brilliant on many levels. she's one of the coolest, chillest, most fabulous people i've ever known. she's also a freaking brilliant hair stylist. she did my hair a week ago and we discussed all of the styles and colors my hair has been in the last ten years that she has been styling my hair. i lost all of my photos from college when my old computer died, tear, so here are my favorite hairdos from the past 4 years. enjoy hair: a retrospective.

i must have asked her for honey highlights, she prefers dark on me. this is the only college picture i have. my bangs are all sorts of wonky. i def styled these poorly.

my head shots, the ones that should get me work, but don't. my hair is actually really short for me. i loved this cut, my hair curled so easy. adored this bang.

my hair was light here, really rich color though. i rocked this bang for a long time.

my rockstar shag. love my hair this dark. i feel so exotic. and yes, it's a twilight shirt. shut it.

the greek boys loved me and my hair. i love the richness of the color. the layers are still short, but it's a great length. loooove my bangs.

rock n' roll hair. it's a little longer this time. still really piecey. my hair curled so freaking awesome. this is also one of my favorite outfits.

my hair was getting freakishly long at this point. and i loved it. i didn't want to cut any off. it's the first time in years that i grew my bangs out.

luckily, holly didn't want to cut it either. we just colored it and let it grow.

i loved this hair. just letting it grow. keeping the color simple. no bangs.

this color was genius. i felt so sexy with this hair. it just curled ah-mazingly.

we still didn't cut the ends this time... but i wanted ombre hair. she didn't want to go crazy and do it too light. i adored it.

and as of last week this is my new hair. i needed a rad change. no one is hiring me, i'm moving to california, and i just wanted to be bold. i am soooo crazy blonde. she cut a very 70's middle parted bang that i can swoop from side to side depending on my move. we cut the super dead ends off so it's a tad shorter, but i am just absolutely in love with it. i really feel sassy.

so, i wanted to unleash my inner sexy... it's so rarely unleashed that i thought it was only fair. and when i think of crazy hot starlets olivia wilde always comes to mind. hello super sexy!!! what i like best about this look is that it's easy/sexy. not complicated/sexy. i usually barely care enough to get out of sweatpants, so if i'm gonna glam i better be comfy. this look is great. the high neckline and longer sleeve makes the ridiculously short hemline less... well, skanky and the nude pumps just make your legs look 2,000 miles long. it's like they never end. the hair is simple and pulled back, makeup is easy and delicate. the accessories are beyond minimal. this look screams wear me. i wore a super old patterned forever21 dress that i am still in love with and my shoes are a steve madden pump. love. love. love.

so, i'm just gonna throw this out there... i'm pretty sure diane kruger is perfect. her beautiful face and mile long legs aside, she has such a killer fashion sense that i can barely stand it. she's my absolute favorite on the red carpet. her insane street style is unparalleled, in my own expert opinion. she looks effortless whether she's in a gown or in jeans. i love that. here are a few of my recent favorites.

i love this lady. she's fearless in her fashion and i think that we should all take something from that. it's only clothes, why not be daring!? have fun!! try an insanely high hem with a great pair of nude pumps. or play with ladylike lengths and shapes mixed with a funky shoe. don't be afraid to let the dress be the center of attention, you don't always need to pile on accessories... some times simpler is better.

it's the freaking catalina wine mixer... i mean the 2011 oscars...

hooray, hooray, hooray. it's the freaking oscars!!!! omg. it's like my super bowl. for reals, i had hor d'oeuvres, wine, cupcakes, champagne. it's like... the best night ever ;) okay, maybe not, but it's pretty genius. all of hollywood celebrating ah-mazing films and ah-mazing fashion. my 2 favorite things in the world. sigh. the fashion was very neutral with very few hot damn messes. the colors of the night, in my expert opinion, were lavender, red, and icy pale shades of white. fashion was kept very low key, minimal... dare i say boring. well, here are the best and the worst. enjoy.

collective sigh. perfection. ohmylordy. just sheer perfection. michelle williams is like the perfect pixie, fairy, modern day audrey hepburn. now, i don't take comparisons to audrey lightly. at all. she's the queen of all things classy and style. whoa tangent. back to the glorious michelle in a chanel gown, she's just perfect. the gown is simple but so interesting. her icy blonde hair, strong brow, and pink lip. genius. all genius. obviously she's my favorite.

so, meg griffin is a totally hottie. wowzas. mila kunis. holy hot batman. when i first caught a glimpse of her elie saab i was underwhelmed, but once i saw it move as she walked i was sold. the panels of chiffon give way to these panels of sheer lace that are just uber sexy. i love the lack of jewels. she looks like a real, grown up actress. i think it's beautiful.

say you had a terrible, no good, jack ass husband who destroyed your marriage after last years oscars... i'm thinking this is how you say "eff you" to the son-of-a-bitch. sandy bullock is brilliant in this vera wang. i think she looks outstanding. the orange- red color is stunning paired with her pale skin and dark hair. i think she just looks beautiful. personally, i like this better than her winning gown. sorry. don't throw things. she looks ah-mazing.

geez louise, jennifer hudson is a babe. a super hot babe. i am loving the color of this gown. so bold, so sexy. is anyone else surprised that this is a versace... it's so classy. i love the jewels, oh so very much. the hair is a bit wonky, but because she is that hot now... i don't care. you rock jennifer!

another babe!!! a crazy pregnant babe. natalie portman is stunning and absolutely radiant in her rodarte gown. the color is superb on her skin. i love the tassel earring, but i'm slightly disappointed that they are so matchy. she really does look beautiful. the gown is perfect for her growing belly... hmm... well... truth be told, she looks great, but i feel like i was hoping for more... but she is beautiful and she deserved that oscar!!! she was brilliant.

people tell me i look like anne hathaway... a lot. but i have to say it's photos like these where i want to tell people you are smoking crack!!! she is stunning. i mean her skin is flawless, her lips and eyes are insanely large, and she's just beautiful!! i absolutely loved this valentino on her. it was slimming and lengthening. she did a brilliant job hosting, i mean, is there anything that she can't do!?!? answer. no. she's super woman in a ball gown. all of her hosting looks rocked my socks. loved the fringey one, the red one, the white corseted one... they were all beautiful. love. annie. hathaway.

hilary swank is rocking this gucci dress. truly. she looks so feminine and sexy. and i think that she has a tendency to look boyish, but this is just decadent and girly. i adore her little up do. it's hard to see how pretty it is from these angles, but i just admire how she seems to try and really go out of her fashion comfort zones. i dig it.

it's hard to say something bad about this monique lhuillier gown. mandy moore looks like such a lady. everything is perfectly put into place. almost too perfectly put into place. i mean, she's 26 this just seems a bit old. i think that the gown is beyond perfect, it's sheer done right. i also adore her makeup. the coral lip is out-of-control... my problem is with the middle part, low bun. hello school marm. and with the 1980's dynasty clip on earring. not cool. a messy updo and a funky earring and boom instant perfect. oh-so very close.

now, i am very rarely a fan of halle berry's fashion, mostly cause she stole a well deserved oscar from nicole kidman... yes, i hold a grudge ;) but this marchesa is delightful. she's a beautiful woman and has a rockin bod, but as my mom said, "get a new hair cut!!!"

holy dance cardio batman. gwyneth paltrow is a goddess. a tall, leggy, blonde, tall goddess with insanely long legs. did i mention that she has perfect legs. ugh. she is really just beautiful. i love her bone straight hair, neutral makeup, and i almost love the dress. the thing that keeps me from just adoring this look is the odd little dropped waist beaded thing. so odd. other than that, this calvin klein looks like liquid metal. love.

nicole kidman is slowly getting her face back. i'm so glad she's easing up on the botox. and she's almost a red head!!!!! hooray!!! i adore her simple ponytail. now, i'm gonna get a ton of crap for this, but i am loving this dior. i know it's odd, but i really like it. the necklace is genius. i want. the pink shoes are a bit much, i like it. i don't know why... whatever. attack.

so who let the crazy bag lady into the oscars!? what the duck is with scarjo's hair. this d&g is just weird. you are supposed to show up to these things post-breakup looking hot. this is just off. i really can't say i take much good away from this look.

what in the dear sweet lord is going on here!? marisa tomei is a strange one on the red carpet, it's either perfect or painstakingly bad. take a gander what this is!?

my mom liked this. i had to disagree. BIG TIME. what the devil is going on here? this is like austin power fembot bad. what's up with the hair!? it's terrible, right? and the dress, help me out here... it's like a strange waiters uniform. this just did so very little for me. it's a shame 'cause i love me some reese.

ah cate blanchett. this is a tough one. there is a part of me that loves this givenchy, but the rest of me sorta wants to vomit. i can't figure it out. i like part of the gown the waist and skirt is beautiful, but the strong shoulders are just so runway... i don't know... her hair and makeup look stellar, but i don't know it's like she's wearing a freaking lavender suit of armor.

when i saw this i was like, did jennifer lawrence wear her nightgown to the oscars!?!? and then i was like okay, her hair and makeup are pretty. then i was like, oh lord this is practically the same valentino scarjo wore to the golden globes a few years back!?!?! then she said that calvin klein's francisco costa made it just for her. confused!? me too. i'm just super bored with this. been there, done that scarlett has much bigger boobs.

you know what? hailee steinfeld is like 14 years old. and ya know what? in this marchesa, that she helped design, she looks 14. i love it. if it were on an adult, we would have problems. it's nice to see a kid dress like a kid. if you make fun of her your an ass.

dear amy adams. i do not like this l'wren scott dress. the shape is weird. feels sorta suffocating. the necklace is way yucky with it. a nice pair of earrings would've worked better. the sleeves are super weird. they should be longer. but amy is going to be walking many, many, many more red carpets so she'll make it up to me.

i love that busy phillips was michelle williams date. the met whilest filming dawson creek. love that. i think she looked pretty fabulous. her earrings are lovely.

helen mirren is one sexy dame. mmmmm. so hot. and i love that she can handle her own when paired with one russell brand. who by the way, i am in love with. i think this is a glorious color on her. and the vivienne westwood fits her perfectly. the bodice is genius. the necklace could be way shorter, what's up with that. but she is a rock star. do as you please helen.

hello boobies!!!!! geez oh petes. that's a lotta tot. she like just had a baby. like literally 15 minutes ago. and are you kidding me. she looks beautiful. my womanly intuition says that she was not comfortable in her skin. but this l'wren scott was beautiful, but something was off with her. i could sense it.

BUT. but. as far as hbc goes this is mild. her hair is insane, but looks polished. her makeup looks brilliant... professional. i think that this is a small success.

my temporary humble abode... pt. 2

so, at long last here is the 2nd and final part of my temporary humble abode. the rest of my house is either very messy or empty, so no more house posts until we move ;) currently, we live in a very stock neighborhood in the suburbs, so i try to make every inch of the space livable and interesting, but since we are downsizing in preparation to move to cali the spare rooms are very empty... and don't get me started on my dining room table... why do men walk in the house and immediately throw all of their shit on to the table!!! NO!!!! there is a very messy man cave/ office for all of that nonsense. lord help me if we end up in a studio loft. yikes. i'll have to blog about space saving solutions in a few months. any who.

my comfy, cozy bedroom is probably my favorite room in the house. i LOVE my bed. so comfy and so bright. the bedding is from urban outfitters and i am obsessed! and thank the lord, we finally bought a bed last fall! the double decker bed from CB2 is ah-mazing. it's low like a platform, but still sits off the ground enough for our big dog hammond to sleep underneath. both dressers are from ikea. it's almost perfect. i'm still looking for the perfect thing to hang over our bed. the picture there now is from previous bedding. any interesting ideas on what to put there would be greatly appreciated.

for funsies, i thought i'd let you into my insane closet. it's crazy packed, so i have been trying really hard to only buy things that i am IN LOVE with. quality verses quantity is my motto these days. i'm terrified of the size of my closet in california. yikes. what am i gonna do with all of these shoes!?! haha.

so there you go, that's my bedroom and closet. do all the stacks of books and cluttered areas make you make you break out in hives!? or do you appreciate my boho-eclectic-shabby-cluttered chic? any good ideas for what to hang over my bed? what about the closet? how do you store your shoe collection? is 25 pairs of jeans too much?!

first off, not even lady gaga could ruin how excited i am for zac brown band!!!! they won their second grammy tonight and i am just beyond thrilled for them!!!! HOORAY!!!

i tried to enjoy the show, but i couldn't get lady gaga arriving in that stupid egg thing... it honestly ruined my night. why?!!?! why, do we let that crazy chick dictate what's original... she's insane. i want so badly to support her because i think it's brilliant all the work she does for gay rights, but i really can't get behind her ridiculous antics, stupid costumes, and her desperate need for attention. she just seems to try way too damn hard and i'm not buying the shit she's selling. she is so freaking absurd that i feel like me continuing to talk and speculate about her motives are exactly what she wants. so i'm done. i'll continue to run on the treadmill to "bad romance" but she has no place on my blog. ugh. uber annoyed.

perhaps i am way out of the loop, but i have no idea who this is... nicki minaj?!? i have no idea. i do know that this givenchy creation is just as insane as i would expect from the grammy fashion. like whoa. what in the hell is going on inside your head that this seems like the best option!? creative people are nuts. i will say that her body looks banging, but dear sweet jesus... this is a lot of look. lotta look. wow.

hello see through gown!!!! leave it to rihanna to rock a crazy sheer john paul gaultier gown. i sorta dig it. i mean, the fit is beyond perfection, sure it looks ridiculous, but in a fabulously fashion forward sorta way. plus, she's wearing glittery pasties. and that means dedication in my book. i do kinda wish she'd ditch the red hair and go back to the awesome edgy cut with the shaved parts and blonde.

come on folks!?!?! did we learn nothing from heidi and spencer!? if you stop inviting them to big events and stop putting them on the covers of magazines then they disappear! i mean, imagine it, a world without the jersey shore!!!!! iq's all over the world would instantly rise!!! instantly!!! with all of that said this is not the worst snooki has ever looked. in fact this look is, dare i say, mild for her.

oh dear, dear, dear. monica. this is definitely not my favorite look. the dress is sorta interesting and fashion forward, but the makeup and hair... hmm how do i say this, looks like she should be singing duets with brandy. it looks like the 90's vomited on her head. and i mean she's hot. like super hot, so this is just unacceptable.

now, i love haley williams. love. love. love her. but dear sweet baby jesus. what is this!?!? nothing about this works. not even for the crazy grammys. the sheer tights. the silly bangs. the weird shoes. the pink fluffy stuff. hmmm. it's a good thing she's rad talented cause this is just yuckola.

i don't get it. she's beautiful. stunning. but why is she everywhere!? and this kauffman franco gown is not doing it for me. it reminds me of my prom gown in 2000. wow, i'm old. but yeah. this is terrible and the shoes are disgust with this look. a rare occasion where nude shoes just don't work. a strappy bronze or gold sandal would've worked better. her hair and makeup are beautiful, as always. i just don't get her.

oh florence... so i love florence and the machine and i realize that she is a bit of a wacka-doo, so this really isn't nearly as crazy as it could've been. and honestly, i am beyond in love with the back of this givenchy dress. the orange on her skin tone is just perfection. the rest of the dress is just eh.

how much they hate me? very. kiss girls like katy perry. that was a little pre-review rap. okay. hmm. where to start. her hair and makeup are actually not offensive. i even really like her hair. the top of the dress is okay, but the skirt is just so weird. i know that mr. armani made this for her, but with the wings, this just goes way overboard. i don't think i quite understand her "schtick." she could be beautiful, but it's like she terrified to just be stunning. she doesn't need all of the gimmicks.

natasha bedingfield leaves much to be desired in this odd gown. i don't know what bothers me more the sequined/floral mess or the hair!? it all seems too costumey. not a fan.

could someone please explain why eva longoria is EVERYWHERE lately. is desperate houswives even still on television!? i know the post breakup glow is in full affect, but i'm really not loving this ashi studi ensemble. very been there, done that.

holy bananas. what has happened to the front of jordin sparks gown!? this is so middle aged i can barely stand it. too young and too pretty to be wearing this nonsense. and the makeup!? where is it?

so this is weird, right?! pregnant selma blair at the grammys in a muumuu... oooookay. who's she married to? this is beyond strange. i kinda like the dress and the train keeps it from looking ridiculously casual, but overall i'm just confused.

how hot is heidi klum? answer. oh so very hot. she just looks like a tall, skinny, sexy babe. i mean this dress just drips off of her like liquid gold. i think that klum makes the dress work, on any other lady i might think this is too much. she can definitely pull it off.

ciara's goodies make the boys jump on it. this pucci is hot. ciara is hot. end of story.

now, i'm pretty sure this young lady is doing "the biebs" and that kinda makes me want to puke in my mouth, but i have to say lil' selena gomaz looks ah-mazing. i heart j.mendel and this gown is no exception. absolutely breathtaking.

now, i'm pretty sure this lady is doing "seacrest" and that also makes me want to vomit... but all kidding aside, ms. hough is rocking this malandrino dress. i love the neckline, the ruffles, the colors, the hair. i think it's beautiful. and this is the best i've seen her look ever. love. it.

ohmyholyfreakinglord. jennifer hudson in versace = perfection. she is a goddess. try to say something bad about this and i will judo chop you in the neck. the end.

wowzas. kelly osbourne is a hottie. this tadashi shoji is very similar to the marchesa that diane kruger wore to an event in new york last year. so i feel like it's been waaaaay done before and by a fashion icon no less, but honestly she looks so hot that i'm not even going to hold it against her. FIERCE.

i think that my darling love, nicole kidman, looks absolutely stunning. i love this silhouette on her. very reminiscent of her road to oscar in 2003. and her hair is perfection. i really feel like she's starting to understand her botox levels, cause it really looks sooooo much better. she looks fantastic.

ggggeeeezzzzeeee. jenny from the block is looking insanely hot. wow. wow. wow. what can i say bad about this. her body. hot. her hair. hot. her shoes. hot. her makeup. hot. i mean.... what else is there!?!

i am so over her extensions. yawn.

and to end it, some glee kids. i love both of these looks and dresses. call me crazy, but i think these both work on many levels. dianna agron is rocking the hell out of this vivienne westwood. i mean, so hot. i love her lil' fauxhawk and the gritty rocker makeup. the shoes are the only thing i don't quite understand. a little too matronly with the look. some angry rock and republic spiked heels or some rad sandals would've been better. and naya rivera. holy crap this girls legs are like 2 thousand miles long. bitch. i know this dress looks like it has a tail, but i like it... i do. i love the neckline and the weird skirt. i really do. i know it's not my finest pick. i will say her hair looks a hot damn mess. definitely needs some work. maybe like an ironic holly golightly updo.

my temporary humble abode... pt. 1

so, if your new to llo then you might not know that the hubs is a marine pilot. pause for a daydream of him in his uniform.......... annnnd we're back. this is definitely not the life that i had planned for us. we started dating when we were 16 and we dated for 7 years before we were married. so last year actually marked 10 years together. whoa. well, needless to say i hoped we would move to new york city, la, or chicago... or heck, even live in a posh neighborhood in atlanta. i would be a struggling actor, he would be a successful engineer. well, that's not what happened. life happened. and he sat me down and told me his dream was to fly helicopters for the marine corps. i couldn't deny him that, no matter how terrifying the thought was, so i have now been a military wife for a little over 3 years and there have been ups and downs... lots of downs, but i think i'm finally getting the hang of it.

that brings us to the post. yes, all of my yammering had a point. in the past 4 years, i have lived in 5 apartments/houses. atlanta. virginia. pensacola, florida. milton, florida. north carolina. and to top if all off we are moving to san diego in a little less than 3 months. hooray. i've learned to really have a critical eye when designing for my home. i'm lucky that my aesthetic is very eclectic and modern, but i still try and keep color families pretty similar so that when we move no matter the home's layout i can use all of my stuff together. i also have this terrible constitution where it's literally impossible for me to not decorate a home, no matter how long or short we live there, so here, FINALLY, is my living room. ta-daaaa!

what i'm wearing: hat, old navy; hoodie, gap; blazer, banana republic; socks, target; boots, matisse.

so, have you ever just not given a flying flip about your birthday. that's how this year has felt to me... i just didn't want to make a big deal out of it. it was a disgustingly nasty and rainy and honestly the idea of going to fancy restaurant or celebrating around town was not in the cards. so we got some thai take out and watched charade. for the 10th time. it's a filipino thing to eat noodles on your birthday... they give you long life and luck. so i ate noodles. lots and lots of noodles. all i asked was that no one mentioned the super bowl. i hate football. every few years it falls on my bday and it's really just like a slap in my face. ew. too bad it wasn't the oscars. par-tay!!! i stayed nice in comfy in the most freaking comfortable pair of sweatpants. i swear, i went into victoria's secret to buy sassy lingerie... and yes, i bought sweatpants. c'est la vie.

okay, so it's true that this is from the old house, but i thought i'd share some of my backlogged celebrity dress ups. i had them saved for a certain "corporate mega company" that decided to go in another direction. boo. down with the man. anywho. i love this look. it's easy breezy, but still decidedly chic. i am obsessed with any and all hats, but i love a big flopsy beret. i think with your hair down they just look so sassy. and omg, i am ob-sessed with those flats. i'm sure by next spring that steve madden will have a similar style. this is like the perfect running errands or quick lunch with a friend outfit. love it.

and the award shows keep coming!!!! the sag awards were on sunday night and they brought hollywood out in fine form! i really didn't hate much. i think that it was a great fashion parade and i think that all of the actor awards were well deserved. hooray the king's speech!!!! best movie i've seen in years. genius. ah. i can't stop thinking about how good it was. in my wildest dreams i can't imagine acting with such superb actors. okay, enough of my drooling over parts i well never play. the fashion was fairly inoffensive. i feel like oscar de la renta was definitely the designer of the evening, but there were a bunch of lesser known designers as well. okay. let the review begin.

i loved this. lea michelle rocked the hell out of this oscar de la renta. the bodice is just brilliant and the fit is just perfection. i adore her hair and makeup. i think it just beautiful. very simple, but sassy and just stunning.

i'm loving this versace gown on hilary swank. i feel like it just works. the color is pale, but doesn't wash her out. the gown fits her like a glove. lord she's buff. and i love the hair, i think it softens her face and just looks beautiful.

grrrrrr. sassy mila kunis. love it. this alexander mcqueen is so hot. i love her hair all long and sexy. the deep side part is just brilliant. i love how unfussy she looks. no jewels. she just lets the dress speak. and it says, "hello, my name is fabulous!!"

so i wasn't sure if i liked the azzaro gown on pregs natalie portman. but after watching it move as she walked, it really is fabulous. the fit on her belly is just so perfect. i love the neckline and the bits of sparkle. i'm a fan.

okay. i really liked this look. rosario dawson is a smokin' hot babe so it's hard to make her look bad, but this j.mendel is absolutely perfect. the color is great on her and paired with the jade earring it's just perfect. the cut is so relaxed and i love the asymmetrical slit. really pretty.

okay. you can make fun of me if you want, but i love this prada gown. hailee steinfeld is 14 years old and i feel like this dress is fun and young and totally appropriate. i love it. the colors are just so vibrant and i feel like if an older celebrity was wearing this it would seem like they were trying too hard. i think it works.

okay, i love this girl. heather morris is HILARIOUS and she can dance like it's her job... yes... i suppose it is her job... anywho. this romana kevaza is beautiful. i don't normally love this silhouette, it reminds me of prom, but i think this is just beyond fabulous. she's great.

nurse carol hathaway. that's all julianna margulies will ever be to me. congrats to her for her win. this ysl gown leaves a bit to be a desired. everything about this look is hot... except for the neckline. her boobs like high, pushed together barely a-cups. it's odd. the rest of the look is pretty sassy.

this is totally a dress i could picture cruella deville wearing... kyra sedgwick is wearing theirry mugler. it's just not awesome. the velvet and the pointy sides... weird.

holy boobies batman. sophia vergara is so beyond hot and this roberto cavalli is beyond perfect for her. she definitely needs to wear designers like cavalli which are so ah-mazing for her body. wowza. and it just blows my mind that someone can be so hot and so freaking hilarious. modern family. best. show. ever.

nicole kidman. she's impeccable. she's beautiful. but lately she has not been dressing to impress. when i first saw this nina ricci gown i was not loving it, but then i saw the back. helllllo! beautiful! so even though i'm not the hugest fan. i still have to admit the back is stunning.

dear sweet baby jesus. why does tina fey still dress herself!? this oscar de la renta is ridiculous on her. the raised flowers along the neckline make me wanna throw up. sorry, she's funny, but she does not dress herself well... AT ALL.

geez, could this monique lhuillier be even more of the top!? answer. no. angie harmon is stunning, but the dress is just way too much for this show. the bodice is way too lingerie-like for me. the pony tail is too middle school dance. and i just don't like it.

is kim kardashian an actor? i mean i know she's full of shit and that is a trait generally reserved for actors, but it really bothers me that she gets invited to real award shows. i love the real housewives just like the next girl, but it ends there. if kim or taylor showed up at this award, i'd punch a baby. all of that to say. kim kardashian is NOT an actor. she's a freaking spectacle. this marchesa gown is supremely ugly. it makes her look huge and like she has saggy tots. and is she wearing dyeable's!?!?!? ewwwwww. i could throw up.

claire danes has been looking so great lately that i hate to admit this louis vuitton is not fabulous. her hair is not really done and the makeup is too much for her usually fresh face. i don't like any of it. sorry.

gag. ew. nasty. ew. wow. kate mara is waaaaaaaaay too pretty to wear such an ugly freaking dress. have i mentioned ew. this herve lerger is just disgust. it's like some added a taffeta christmas tree to the bottom of her dress. and then she ripped off a piece and threw it in her hair. waaaay too pretty.

amy adams is so freaking talented. and this herve leroux looks great on her. her body looks sick post baby and this dress just fits her perfectly. i really like it.

dear sweet jesus. what is christina hendricks doing!? this l'wren scott is just not great. the reflection of the sequins keep you from seeing her actual shape, it all kinda blurs together. perhaps in a different color this would be more flattering, but it's really hard to see her hot bod, it's just black blah.

pretty... this georges hobeika is stunning on eva longoria, it reminds me of a lighter verson of the lanvin natalie portman wore to the 2005 oscars... but she looks so great that i won't knock too many points. the eye makeup is a bit off... and they went a bit overboard with the under eye concealer. still pretty.

jayma mays looks great. this might actually be the best look i've seen on her yet. this jenny packham is so fabulous. like beyond. i love almost all of this look. the only thing off for me are the shoes. too strappy. the sandal chops her off at the ankle, shortening her. a nude peep toe would've been a better choice.

what in god's green christ is winona ryder wearing!? egads! not hot. the hair is just weird and super 90's, which let's face it, is the last time she was on a red carpet. the makeup is way overdone. and what is that horrid bag. ew. a black bag with a white gown... double ew.

i might not hate this. julia stiles looks pretty fabulous. the gown is a bit off. i like ombre hair, but ombre fabric is not usually fabulous. from the bodice up, i'd say it's perfect. almost there kat. that's a reference to 10 things i hate about you, best teenage movie ever made. i may have seen it 100 times. don't judge.

jane krakowski continues on her fabulous maternity red carpet tour. this badgley mischka gown is perfection. her hair and makeup are genius. the earring are perfect. i want. she's hot. she's a hot mama.

january jones is weird, right!? it's not just me, is it? 'cause i find her super weird. this carolina hererra is also kinda weird. it seems better suited by a woman advanced in years. the hair is absolutely ridiculous. where i come from we call that a "kennesaw claw" after women from kennesaw georgia who rock a ridiculously 80's set of bangs. and it's bad. this is bad.

i love this catherine malandrino suit. and i love julie bowen. and i love modern family. i despise her hair. the bangs are bad. do you think pushing them to the side was an afterthought!? if it was a straight fringe that might've worked.

okay. so here we go. dianna agron is rocking this chanel just fine, even though i think it's way too old for her, but i am so not understanding the eyebrows. a strong brow in photo shoot is awesome. love it. but on the red carpet with her california blonde hair is just not doing it for me. she looks very old and she's like 13. that's never good.

way too much dress. amber riley is fab-u-lous. but this dress is swallowing her up and she's a big girl, so that means that's a lot of dress. at the globes, she hit the nail on the head, she looked sexy and voluptuous. but this just doesn't work. from the knee down i hate it.

oh helena. i love her and all of her crazy. she was so brilliant in the kings speech that i have decided i don't give a shit what she wears. she's that good.

yet another oscar de la renta. jennifer lawrence is ridiculous hot, but hot pink and black is way too middle school for me. the dress is ah-mazing. if i could toss the stupid bow belt and add a sparkly, pink and clear band of gemstones around the waist and add a nice tall glitter dipped stiletto and then i would adore this. i'm also not a fan of the eye makeup. way too harsh.

what i'm wearing: vest, top, and boots ann taylor loft; jeans, jbrand; necklaces, gifted from abs.

let me explain. it's faux fur. come on, give me some credit. i'm still working on the leather thing... one step at a time. moving on, today i finally got the nerve to wear my furry vest in public. it's genius and is delightfully warm. surprisingly, i didn't feel as ridiculous as i thought i would. and the hubs gave me a sort of compliment by saying "you look like a city girl" loved that. we saw the kings speech and it was absolutely brilliant. i mean words cannot describe how genius of a film it was. i'm predicting lots and lots of oscars. so anywho. there's my bold fashion choice of the week. i think it looks chill and boho and pretty stinkin' cute.

so, the 16th annual critics choice awards were last weekend and geez, we all forgot. admit it! you didn't watch 'em!!! but i thought they were worth a mention 'cause let's face it... there was a lot of ugly going on. there was some pretty too... we'll start with the good...

not sure why i like this azzaro so much. maybe because i love emily blunt so much. i just adore the cut of this dress. it fits like a freaking glove. and it's just classy. i like it... so sue me.

how effing perfect is michelle williams!?!? she understands her style better than most folks. it just always works. always. and this balenciaga is just out-of-control. omg. love. the little scalloped edges on the bodice and the giant ones on the hemline just make me so happy. my lord i wish i could chop off all my hair. so beautiful.

i literally had no idea who this was when i saw her... it's emma stone as a bleached blonde! crazy right!? i did like a quadruple take. blonde or brunette or red head, this chick is stunning. and balenciaga is two for two, cause this dress is ah-mazing!!!! and the chain neckline and the brilliant pewter color is just genius. and whoever does her eyebrows is a genius.

yay, pregs natalie portman. doesn't she just glow!?!? this gianfranco ferre gown is simple and dainty. perfect for her. i hope she wins an oscar... well, i honestly just can't wait to see what she wears, the statue would just be a great accessories.

how stinking cute is mandy moore!? this monique lhuillier gown is not exciting or new, but it looks brilliant on her. the color is genius with her skin. and the earrings just work. this is a major win in my book.

i love eva mendes. and i love this valentino dress. it's different and avant garde, but still simple and fun. i love the sheer black lace over the nude slip. so hot. she is just so unbelievably stunning. everything about this is ah-mazing.

this is newcomer jennifer lawerence. if you haven't seen "winter's bone" you should, i've heard it's genius. she is a beautiful girl, but this dress makes her look 45 years old... she's 20. so this is definitely not my first choice, but i'll give her a few points because it fits well... overall... eh.

i know a ton of people would say that this is a straight up hell no, but tilda swinton is a special one. she's a bit odd, to say the least, but she really does have an interesting fashion voice. this lanvin is no exception. it's pretty brilliant and i love the shoes. she still kinda scares the shit out of me though... just saying.

wow. sorry mila kunis. this nina ricci just doesn't work for me. and the shoes. AHHH! if you are 4 feet tall you don't wear shoes with ankle bows like that... she looks 2 feet tall. she is always gorgeous, but this is not as fabulous as she can be. it's more meg griffin less serious golden globe nominated actress.

so this is an amber rose, whatever that means. and this is by definition a hot damn mess. what in the hell was this chick thinking!? she just has way too much going on... the hair, the tattoo, the tacky necklace and bracelet. i just can't past all of the chaos.

holy bananas. why is the 2nd tier kardashian invited to a movie awards show!?!? i see she dyed her hair... it's not that bad. she looks much better as a brunette though, in my own personal opinion. the dress is blumarine... and i don't particularly hate it, but it's not awesome. her body looks great, but i think the hair washes her out. then the dress looks washed out too. ugh, will reality stars just disappear!

oh dear freaking lord. what the hell is wrong with helena bonham carter!?!? this chick is so far off her rocker that it's not even funny!!!! wow. she proves that talent and style are not mutually exclusive...

this is keri hilson. i like her music, but i am NOT a fan of this ensemble. i don't like anything about it. the crispy blonde hair with visible roots. the ugly forever 21 dress. and those weird ass shoes. it doesn't work for me one bit!!! this is not how a pretty girl dresses.

nicole. nicole. nicole. no bueno. this fit is all off. she looks lumpy. nina ricci is not working for me at this show. at all. i will say her face looks a little bit toned down... the cheeks are still a bit much, but the lips and the forehead look relatively normal... so hopefully she's toning that stuff down.

sofia vergara is perfect. right!? she's hot. funny. got a body to die for... but i am not a fan of her recent red carpet looks. this temperely london is also just not working for me. she looks like she wrapped her hot body in aluminum foil. not the best look. i mean that's a lot of smushed boobie.

okay. so i've been coveting elle fannings recent style, but this valentino is not doing the trick... she is 12 freaking years old... and this just looks sooooo grandma. come on. i expect more from a fanning. i mean aren't they all supposed to be freakishly smart and stylish. she really has proven to know her style, i'm sure by time she's 14 she'll be an old pro...

uhhhhhhh. so sick of these people. this color is great on her. and the neckline and waist is just about perfect, but the ruffles on the bottom are so played out. it's way to chacha. vera wang has done this before and better. just see charlize theron at the 2000 oscars. and this chicka needs to stop with all the injectables. come on. i mean she's a stunning girl and she is ruining her face. not a fan.

omg. i am obsessed. i seriously have a problem. navy and white stripes are my absolute favorite. i am OB-SESSED. i cannot walk by a navy and white striped article of clothing and not buy it. it's a freaking compulsion. i mean, who doesn't love a little parisian chic in their life. i just love how complete chill, yet super sophisticated it is at the same time. j'adore how it brilliantly transforms from preppy la cool to rockstar brit badass.

my own delightful collection is pictured below... and it will continue to grow because as long as they keep making brilliant nautical stripes, i will be buying. it's one of the few things my husband fully supports the purchase of... he just gets me...

so, is it just me or is christina aguilera looking a lil' plump!? is she the p word? because if i recall she totally looked this plump when she was preggo with baby 1. and this way to tight zuhair murad is not helping her fashion cause. the bodice needs to be a good 2 inches higher on her boobies. and somebody needs to do something with that hair... for the love of god that hair... this is pretty terrible...

dear sweet mother of god. helena bonham carter is a crazy. a straight up crazy. a crazy who can act her ass off, but crazy nonetheless. this is just such a hot damn mess that i don't even know where to begin. i mean she's wearing two different shoes... that's just not normal. at all.

whhhooooaaaa big boobies. i don't quite understand how christina hendricks likes to dress herself. this romana keveza is almost okay until you get to the shoulder where it just transforms into a monster. it looks like a 3rd collarbone boob. it's just so unflattering. i mean she's a bombshell and she manages to make herself look like the hunchback of notre dame.

natalie portman is beautiful. talented. stunning. beautiful. and did i mention talented. and she usually dresses brilliantly, but so much is wrong with this look. the shape of this viktor&rolf dress is perfect for her little bun in the oven, but the rose detail is just ridiculous and the necklace totally doesn't seem to go. and her hair is totally lopsided... she deserves every award she wins for this film, but with this dress she will not be winning any best dressed lists. why wouldn't she enlist the help of her besties over at rodarte!?!? she is so beyond gorgeous and her skin is just beautiful, but this look is not a win.

poor jennifer love hewitt. why won't this chick hire a stylist!? she is so pretty, always has been, but she totally has this audrey hepburn mentality, so the hair and makeup are no big surprise. vomit. but this romona kevaza just swallows her whole. the crumb catcher is ridiculous... like clown proportions. i think it's the fact that you can't quite tell if it's a natural waist or an empire waist!? i mean her boobs look like triple f's and it's just not great. while the band helps show off her waist the skirt just piles on the pounds... she's far to hot to wear such a sad dress.

holy tatas batman. this is just... wow. needless to say my husband thought this versace was a great look. eye roll. yeah. i think it's just vulgar. i'm all for showing a wee bit of skin, but this is just inappropriate for this ceremony. on top of that, the fit isn't that great and something seems off with the straps are they supposed to be uneven or are they unraveling? yeah, don't like this one bit.

so, here they are folks!!! my favorites of the evening were both pinky-peachy calvin klein numbers worn by emma stone and claire danes, respectively. first, emma stone. ohmydearsweetbabyjesus. she's perfect. the blonde hair, the ivory skin, and the simplicity is just beyond genius. i love the peach color on her! it is just out-of-control!!! omg. beautiful. she is stunning. second, claire danes... wow. wow. wow. wow. she won for temple grandin and completely was completely deserved, she's a freaking genius. her neckline is just jawdroppingly fabulous. she's just a tiny little fairy with mad acting skills. both ladies knocked it out of the ballpark. so happy with calvin klein this evening.

this armani prive had to grow on me because at first i was a little hung up on the pouf in the sleeve, but the more i look at it, the more i flipping love it. the color, the sparkle, the neckline, the back... THE BACK!!!! sooooo beautiful. she's just a knockout.

yay, heather morris! my favorite gleekster. this chick has a rad body. and this flesh tone sparkler is pretty gorge. it leaves a little to be desired, but she looks pretty unbelievable.

operation megan fox is still in full effect. and she is rocking the hell out of this armani gown. something about the skirt doesn't work for me... i can't quiet put my finger on it... but overall i'd say she was pretty fabulous.

oh lil' ole' carrie underwood at the big award show! i have to say. her style usually annoys me, but this badgley mischka gown is very country barbie. i don't hate it. i like that her hair style is a change up from her norm, so while i don't love this look it's not so bad. she's capable of so much better.

i think this dress is depressing. it would be perfect if she was filming a jane austen film, but alas she is at a freaking modern day award show, so i'm gonna give leighton meester a major FAIL. the only thing that keeps this dress off the disaster list are her genius, out-of-control sexy shoes!!!! ohmygawd. love. everything else... boo.

the newly single, always hot scarjo was a little half and half in book... this elie saab is beautiful, but the gown makes her look kinda squat... she's freaking black widow! she's a babe! why in god's green christ would you wear a gown that makes you look short... just saying. she is beyond sexy, so i suppose she can do whatever the hell she wants, but i would opt for a different neckline and skirt style next go 'round. just saying.

oh saaaandy. she's so smoking hot, but the bangs with the smokey eye paired with the fairy pricess jenny packham gown just goes overboard for me. all of the pieces individually are brilliant, it's just all together it sort of overwhelms tiny sandy. if sh got her hair out of her face and lightened up on the eye makeup this may have been one of my favorites.

i adore milla jovovich. i have seen perfect getaway at least 20 times. i know. pathetic. but it's so much freaking fun and every time i watch it i am always in shock of how beautiful she is... and her eyes are absolutely STUN-ning!! she looks like a old school hollywood starlet. i think i may love this. the mermaid skirt keeps me from taking the jump to full on love. hmmmm.

i love the bodice of this j.mendel on dianna agron, it reminds me of my wedding dress bodice. i really do love the dress and i think it looks brilliant on her. but the hair and the necklace... not a huge fan. styling is everything and i'm just not feeling it. she really is a beautiful girl though.

heidi klum is smokin' hot. that's a little song i just wrote, called heidi klum is smokin' hot. i saw nicole richie rock this marc jacobs gown in the new lucky magazine and i was OBSESSED. so, even though it's not a typical red carpet dress, i really love the california cool vibe that it gives off. her hair and makeup are super beach sexy... it just seem kinda wrong for the occasion, but i suppose german supermodels can do whatever the geez-o-petes they want!!! you rock it hot mama.

despite rumors that lea michelle is a complete bitch, i still think she is beyond fabulous. i mean diva doesn't have to equal bitch. and i actually love her hair and makeup. i mean beautiful! but she has a tendency to wear gowns that overwhelm her tiny frame and i sorta feel the same way about this cotton candy pink oscar de la renta. it just makes her look like shapes. not entirely flattering. but honey can SANG....
